Hi! I'm Rachel
Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to and captivated by nature and all living things.
My passion was fueled as a child by visiting zoos, aquariums, and parks across the United States. I fell in love with animals and wanted to spend my life working with and for them.
The older I grew and the more I traveled, my passion for wildlife grew. But in that time, I realized how much help our animals worldwide truly need. From habitat destruction to pollution, and food shortages to human conflict, our wildlife is suffering more than ever before.
I've worked for and with numerous organizations, professionals, and animals which have helped drive me to be the voice for the voiceless and an advocate for a better tomorrow.
I have a background in marine life rescue and rehabilitation, working with and learning from 4 different stranding organizations. I've gone on many missions from leatherback sea turtle disentanglements to leading a group of 9 pygmy killer whales back to sea. I've participated in dozens of manatees and even rehabilitated an orphaned dolphin calf.
I have also spent years working with and learning from top animal behavioralists, utilizing positive reinforcement to develop strong and trusting relationships with a variety of animals. I've worked with over 25+ species of animals at 4 different facilities, and counting. From the small Cottontop tamarin to the powerful gorilla, the quirky African penguin to the amicable rough-toothed dolphin, I have a deep love for all living things and want to inspire others to care about these creatures in the same way.
By combining the knowledge of animal behavior and conservation challenges, I hope to change the game, start a conversation, and pave a path for efforts that preserve and protect the incredible animals we share our home with.
